The best parts of college were when I was traveling. The hardest part was figuring out what I wanted to do with my career. Even at Yale, I had very little exposure to what different careers were actually like. I studied mechanical engineering, ended up on Wall Street, and learned most of what I needed once I got there. I started iX to give students what I wish I'd had in college: the chance to explore a career, learn from people in the industry, build practical skills, and do it somewhere incredible with students from around the world.
Here's some additional info on how we work.
Am I paying tuition for the internship?
No. Tuition funds the program-teaching, coaching, operations, and the infrastructure that enables your internship project. The internship is the work project component you complete within the program, under expert guidance.
Is the internship guaranteed?
Abroad: you're matched to an in-city company project aligned to your track; some workdays may be remote per company policy, with co-working space provided.
Who are the companies?
Partners vary by year, spanning startups, NGOs, and established firms. Final placements are confirmed closer to the program start. Examples shown are representative of scope and level.
Will I be onsite?
Abroad: expect a mix of in-person and occasional remote days depending on the company.
Do I get support on the project?
Yes, weekly internship coaching, TA unblockers, and milestone reviews. You'll also run presentation dry-runs before stakeholder meetings.
