Every student who successfully completes the iX course curriculum and fully engages in the placement process is guaranteed a professional internship with one of our vetted partner companies. In the first week of the program, you’ll explore a curated list of available internship projects relevant to your course, submit your preferences, and be matched based on performance, participation, and alignment. The internships are real-world projects sourced from startups, NGOs, and corporations across industries. While we cannot guarantee placement at a specific company, we do guarantee that you’ll gain meaningful work experience aligned with your track. This guarantee is contingent on your full participation and engagement with the program.
Yes. If you begin the program and realize another course is a better fit, we allow track changes within the first three days of the program. You’ll need to provide a written motivation and catch up on any coursework you’ve missed in the new course. After that point, changes aren’t permitted due to the fast-paced nature of the curriculum. If you’re still undecided, reach out to an admissions advisor or an iX alum to help you choose the best fit for your goals.

Applications are open for Session 2 are only available for iX Abroad in Cape Town and iX Online. We recommend applying as soon as possible, as applications close soon. Early applicants receive priority consideration for financial aid, internship placement, and rooming preferences, as well as access to exclusive pre-program events and resources. You don’t need to commit to a specific course or city when you apply, you’ll have time to finalize your preferences before enrollment.
Once the 6-week summer program begins, expect a full-time commitment, including morning classes, afternoon group work, and internship project execution. The internship component runs for 4 weeks (weeks 3–6 of the program), and is designed to mirror real-world hybrid work environments, with dedicated support from your instructors and internship manager.
