About iXperience.

What is iXperience?

iXperience is a career-focused study abroad and online program that blends an intensive skills bootcamp with a guaranteed internship. Students learn industry-relevant tools from instructors who actively work in their fields, then apply those skills in a live internship with a global company. The program is designed to accelerate career readiness, build confidence, and help students gain real professional experience before graduating. You’ll also join a close-knit community of students exploring the world together. iXperience gives you both learning and practical application in a supportive, immersive environment.

How long are iXperience summer programs?

The full program runs for six weeks. The first two weeks are dedicated to a fast-paced bootcamp taught by industry professionals. The following four weeks combine continued learning with a structured internship project. Some cities offer one session, while others offer two sessions with different start dates. All sessions follow the same structure.

Is iXperience worth it?

Students consistently report significant growth in confidence, technical skills, and workplace readiness. The combination of live instruction, an internship project, global exposure, and professional support makes it much more impactful than a typical study abroad program. Many students use their internship work directly in job applications and interviews. Parents appreciate the safety, structure, and staff oversight. The program offers meaningful value for students looking to stand out in competitive career fields.

What makes iXperience different from other study abroad or internship programs?

Most study abroad programs focus on travel or language, while most internship programs are independent and unstructured. iXperience combines the best of both: a structured bootcamp, a guided internship, a supportive community, and curated travel experiences. Students receive professional mentorship, daily support, and a guaranteed internship aligned with their course. This blended model ensures students gain real skills, real deliverables, and a clearer sense of career direction.

What skills will I gain from iXperience?

You’ll gain technical skills relevant to your track, such as valuation modeling, analytics, consulting frameworks, Python, or industry-specific tools. You’ll also develop essential workplace abilities like teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and time management. The internship gives you real project experience to speak about in future interviews. Many students also gain independence, confidence, and clarity about their career direction. These outcomes make your resume more competitive.

How do iXperience programs help with future career opportunities?

You will finish the program with real work experience, tangible deliverables, and the ability to talk confidently about projects in interviews. iXperience also offers resume and LinkedIn guidance, storytelling practice, and support from your teaching team. Many students secure letters of recommendation or endorsements. Alumni frequently credit iXperience with helping them stand out in recruiting cycles for banking, consulting, tech, finance, and other competitive fields.

Cost & financial aid.

How much does iXperience cost?

Program fees vary by destination and session, but all follow the same structure. Your fee covers the course, internship placement, housing, excursions, staff support, coworking space, orientation, and airport transfers. Flights and meals are the student’s responsibility. Your admissions consultant can walk you through all costs in detail and help you plan ahead. Financial aid may reduce your tuition depending on demonstrated need.

Does iXperience offer financial aid or scholarships?

Yes. iXperience offers need-based financial aid that can reduce your tuition by up to 30 percent. Aid is awarded based on the percentage of financial aid you already receive from your university. You will complete a separate financial aid application after you are accepted to the program. Financial aid cannot be applied to your deposit. Award decisions are typically released within a week of acceptance.

How does need-blind admissions work?

Need-blind admissions means that your financial situation does not affect your acceptance decision. iXperience reviews your application solely on its strength and your motivation for joining the program. If you are accepted and choose to apply for aid, that review happens separately. This ensures equal opportunity for all students, regardless of background.

How does need-based financial aid work?

Aid is determined by evaluating the percentage of financial aid you receive from your university and any supporting documentation. Higher demonstrated need may qualify you for a larger award, up to 30 percent of tuition. Some partner universities have their own aid agreements with iX, which may affect eligibility. Your admissions consultant can guide you through the steps if you are unsure.

When do my iXperience program fees need to be paid?

All tuition must be paid in full before the program begins. Your deposit is due upon acceptance to secure your spot and is non-refundable. If you decide to withdraw with enough notice, you may be eligible for a partial refund of any tuition already paid. Payment plans may be discussed with your admissions consultant if needed.

Program format.

How does the iXperience program work?

The program blends a two-week bootcamp with a four-week internship. You begin with intensive classes taught by industry professionals, followed by an internship project with a company aligned to your track. Throughout the program, you’ll have regular check-ins with your teaching team, your internship manager, and your fellow teammates. You’ll also participate in excursions, community events, and cultural experiences. The format is fast-paced but highly supported.

Do I need prior experience to join?

No prior experience is required. The program is designed to teach fundamentals quickly so that all students begin the internship at a similar skill level. Pre-work helps you prepare before arriving. Students come from a wide variety of majors and backgrounds, so you will not be at a disadvantage if you are new to the field. Engagement and motivation are more important than prior knowledge.

What will my weekly schedule look like?

During the bootcamp weeks, you’ll spend most of your time in class learning new material. During the internship phase, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are full-day project work. Tuesdays and Thursdays include class in the morning and project work in the afternoon. You will have meetings with both your internship manager and teaching team throughout the week. Free time varies but is built organically into evenings and weekends.

Who are the instructors and TAs?

Your instructors are industry practitioners who work in banking, consulting, tech, analytics, or other relevant fields. They bring real-world experience directly into the classroom. Teaching Assistants support your learning daily and also serve as your mentors throughout the internship. Once you secure your place in the program, you’ll be informed of your specific teaching team for your track.

Can I change courses during the program?

You can request a course change within the first three days. This requires a short written motivation and your willingness to catch up on any missed material. After three days, course changes are not allowed because the pace accelerates too quickly. If you finish the program and discover a different field excites you, that insight is still valuable - many students refine their career path through learning what isn’t for them.

How do I balance coursework, internship work, and exploring the city?

The program is structured to allow students to enjoy the city responsibly while completing their work. iXperience hosts optional excursions and social events so you can explore without planning everything yourself. You’ll learn how to manage your time effectively as part of the experience. Students often form groups to explore together, which makes balancing work and adventure easier. Staff are always available to help if you feel overwhelmed.

You’ll confirm your meeting schedule during your first introduction.

Who will be on my internship team?

Your team will consist of 3-6 students from your course who selected similar internship preferences. This collaborative setup mirrors real-world project teams. You’ll work closely with your teammates, share tasks, and combine strengths to complete deliverables. It’s a great opportunity to practice communication, leadership, and teamwork.

How can I get help if my team is stuck during the internship?

You have multiple support channels. Your Teaching Assistant will check in regularly and is available to answer questions within defined response times. Your internship manager provides guidance on the company side. You can also reach out to your in-city Program Manager for additional support. The program ensures you never feel stuck without help.

Will I get a letter of recommendation after the internship?

Many students do, but it depends entirely on your host company. The best way to secure one is to be proactive, communicate well, meet deadlines, and deliver strong work. Some managers may provide a LinkedIn endorsement instead, which is also valuable. Strong performance increases your chances of receiving positive references.

Can my internship company recruit me for a full-time role?

Yes, it’s possible. Some students have received offers shortly after completing the program. Companies often look for students who show initiative, strong problem-solving ability, and professionalism. However, hiring decisions rest solely with the host company. iXperience is not involved in any recruitment process.
