Founded in Cape Town, South Africa in 2017, Sensorit is a deep technology startup innovating in the automotive industry with the aim of bringing autonomous systems to the African continent while creating value by providing consumer-centric and market pertinent solutions using state-of-the-art technology sensor technology, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and software platforms.
In 2019, they won the Best IoT Startup in South Africa award, and have since partnered with large organizations such as the Automobile Association , the University of Cape Town and Volkswagen. Some of the projects they are developing include South Africa’s first pothole map, a Smart Rear View Mirror, an anti-theft SmartControl vehicle authentication system and a vehicle communication protocol.
