"I am fascinated at how fast distributed ledger technology is evolving as an industry, but most passionate about projects that try to combine the blockchain technology with artificial intelligence, or machine learning, even if the potential industrial uses are, perhaps, years ahead."

Daniel Szego, Head Teacher for the iXperience Crypto & The Blockchain, has worked in IT for over 17 years; operating as a software developer, technology consultant, technical director, and, most recently, a blockchain and AI practitioner. His wealth of experience, years in research, and eagerness to explore the intersection of AI and blockchain tech is going to make for one exciting course on a subject that the world can't seem to get enough of.

What are you working on now?

I have many interesting projects on the go. I am fascinated at how fast distributed ledger technology is evolving as an industry, but most passionate about projects that try to combine the blockchain technology with artificial intelligence, or machine learning, even if the potential industrial uses are, perhaps, years ahead.

What do you enjoy most about the crypto and blockchain industry?

The distributed ledger technology has the potential to eliminate record-keeping as we know it, save money, and disrupt IT in ways not seen since the internet arrived. Personally, I enjoy bridging the knowledge gap between the technology and its application in business.

Why did you decide to get involved with teaching and how do you continue to keep things fresh?

I regularly do presentations and host workshops on different blockchain topics. It helps me to better understand both the technology, and especially the expectations, possible confusions, and use-cases related to the technology.

What are you most looking forward to about iXperience Berlin this summer?

Doing a whole month of teaching on blockchain! I am sure it will be a great experience and a lot of fun, both for myself and my students.

What skills will iX students have after graduating from your class?

My students will have a very good overview on the directions of the distributed ledger technology, as well as some explicit knowledge that they can monetize right away.

What would students be surprised to learn about you?

I am a big fan of cigars, my favorite is the Alec Bradley Black Market Robusto, though I'm not quite sure if this counts as a talent. I also have a blog that you can check out here.
