Real-world experience
Just over a year ago, iX LaunchPad and GEMS started on a journey to bring real-world experience to high school students within the GEMS network.
We began with our hugely successful and interactive Career Evenings, offering GEMS students a window into the world of work. This led us to run pilots at the end of the 2022 academic year with outstanding results.
The pilot feedback was so good we extended the partnership to run our first paid programmes later in the summer of 2022, as well as to host another successful Career Evening ahead of the start of the summer programme. Our high school leadership team embarked on a two-week roadshow at the beginning of this academic year, visiting 15 schools in the GEMS network. We also kicked off our first term programme session which has just wrapped up.
Throughout the course of the last year, we've had the chance to work with the wonderful people in the GEMS network of schools.
From pilot to successful programmes, we've been able to help GEMS students to learn incredible practical skills, and they've gained clarity on their paths in life.
It's not just learning and hard work. Our students enjoy working on their iX LaunchPad classes, for a few reasons. Their in-class experience is consistently rated higher than similar online learning experiences.
