iXperience offers unique and enriching experiences for young adults looking to expand their cultural horizons and gain valuable skills in today's global economy. Our program is tailored for college students and recent graduates between the ages of 18 and 24. While we prioritise this demographic, we also extend a warm welcome to professionals seeking a career change within this age range.
Our program combines classroom instruction with hands-on, real-world experience, giving participants the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and exciting environment. We understand the importance of safety and security for students and their families, and we take great care to ensure that our participants are always well-cared for. "I'm Lauren, a Director at Revgro Holdings. Before this, I led a team of software developers as a Product Owner at Allan Gray and headed the Group Strategy and Digital Strategy teams. My career started at McKinsey as a Management Consultant. Besides, I run O-Bolder, teaching vital life skills through workshops. For the past six years, I have mentored through the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation and DreamGirls Outreach. I studied Business Science (Finance and Accounting) at the University of Cape Town. I enjoy dancing, writing and exploring new experiences every month."

I am currently part of the core team at Appstrax, a software development firm based in Johannesburg, where I am passionate about improving people's approach to software. I believe that anyone can excel in any field, especially coding. I've been teaching software engineering courses with iX since 2020."

Internship.
We match you with a global company for an in-city internship opportunity. You'll be able to apply what you've learned in the classroom and develop a portfolio, all while receiving ongoing support from your experienced instructors and TAs. Immerse yourself in the operations of a local company, becoming part of the team and gaining valuable, real-world experience.
Career workshops.
You will have in-person professional development workshops and community events throughout the six weeks of the program. These can include workshops on adapting to your host city’s working style, the tools of working, how to build your resume and LinkedIn, and how to present with impact to a live client audience.
Certification.
You will receive a certification that you can add to your LinkedIn and resume. *You have to attend 90% of your classes.
Lifelong value.
iX is with you for life. After the program, get access to the iX Alumni Portal, with networking tools, free courses, paid opportunities and more.
Accommodation.
iX accommodation in Cape Town and Lisbon is comfortable, well-equipped and perfect for your needs. *Note that each city’s accommodation setup is different, and can change from year to year.
Co-working space.
You will have access to a centrally-located co-working space for you and your classmates to work on projects together.
Three - five weekly community and social events.
From group dinners to kayaking to paintball, you’ll have lots of planned optional extras to choose from (some at your own cost).
24/7 health and safety support from iX staff.

Dedicated iX Program Management team.
A dedicated iX Program Management team on the ground will accompany you on excursions, design community events and provide general support.
Airport pickup and dropoff.
iX provides transport throughout the Sunday of your arrival weekend and the Saturday of your departure weekend.
