One Bio Venture Studio provides investment capital, lab facilities, mentorship, science and business incubation services, taking early stage biotech startups from lab bench to product in an intense 6-month residency program in Cape Town, South Africa.
In preparing to launch an incubator program for nine African biotech startups, iX interns were challenged with understanding the biotech valuation landscape globally. The project involved researching biotech leaders in South Africa and abroad, with a focus on the US market, to understand key milestones for fundraising and implications for valuation.
